Looking for the best restaurants at The Boro in Tysons? After all, most people know Tysons for the malls. But The Boro has quietly become one of the best spots in Northern Virginia for a full day out. This mixed-use neighborhood sits on Greensboro Drive, steps from the Greensboro Metro on the Silver Line. You’ll find residential towers, a cinema, shops, and a tree-lined plaza here. A growing roster of restaurants and bars all sit within a few minutes’ walk of each other.

We happen to have two of them, right next to each other, under one roof. On a Saturday in Tysons, that combination covers the whole day.

Here’s how we’d spend it.

Brunch at CIRCA — One of the Top Restaurants at The Boro in Tysons

Start at CIRCA at The Boro, 1675 Silver Hill Drive. Doors open at 11 a.m. on weekends. Brunch runs until 3 p.m., and no reservations are required. Walk-ins are always welcome.

CIRCA is a neighborhood bistro built for groups and couples alike. For example, a party of six catching up over mimosas fits just as easily as two people splitting a bottle of wine on the patio. Additionally, the weekend brunch menu brings the full bistro treatment. You’ll find seasonal dishes, shareable plates, and an extensive wine list with over 20 options by the glass.

The drink specials alone make this place worth a visit. During the Brunch Social from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., mimosas are $3 and Bellinis are $4. The Circa Screwdriver costs just $5. It’s made with Open Road Distilling Co. American Vodka and fresh orange juice. Then from 3 to 5 p.m., the Afternoon Social kicks in. Expect $8 Weekend Spritzes (Aperol, Hugo, or Sauvignon Blanc) and $10 Martinis. These Martinis use our own American Vodka, American Gin, or our Espresso Martini recipe. Weekend Social Hours run every Saturday and Sunday.

The patio at CIRCA sits on the plaza level at The Boro. In fact, it’s one of the better spots in Tysons for outdoor dining. Grab a glass of Prosecco, soak up some sun, and enjoy having nowhere you need to be.

Afternoon: Explore The Boro in Tysons

After brunch, you’ve got an hour before the next stop. Fortunately, The Boro is built for walking. A plaza anchored by restaurants, retail, and the Showplace ICON Theatre connects everything. Wide sidewalks and green space tie the neighborhood together. It’s the kind of development that makes Tysons feel less like a highway interchange and more like a real neighborhood.

If you’re visiting from outside the area, the Greensboro Metro station sits right at the entrance. The Silver Line connects you to downtown D.C., Arlington, Reston, and Dulles. As a result, you don’t need a car to get here. It’s one of the most accessible dining destinations in Fairfax County.

The Biergarten Opens at 4 — Restaurants at The Boro Tysons Keep the Day Going

Walk next door — literally next door, same building — and you’ll find Open Road Outpost & Biergarten at 8354 Broad Street. The biergarten opens at 4 p.m. on Wednesdays through Saturdays, weather permitting. In other words, this isn’t a spot where you’re limited to a pint and a pretzel.

Instead, you get full food and drink service outdoors. The kitchen runs the complete Open Road menu. That means hand-smashed burgers, house-smoked wings, fish tacos, nachos, and the Bavarian pretzel with queso and spicy mustard. Meanwhile, the bar pours handcrafted cocktails made with spirits from Open Road Distilling Co. in Reston Town Center. Try the Cucumber G&T, the Outpost Crush with orange-infused American Vodka and passionfruit, or the Maple Old Fashioned aged in white oak barrels for three weeks. These aren’t generic cocktails. They’re built on spirits we distill ourselves, just a few miles down the road.

The biergarten also features live music and cornhole. In short, the vibe is exactly the kind of after-work, stay-for-another-round energy that The Boro needed. Open Road Outpost & Biergarten opened in September 2026 as the brand’s fourth Northern Virginia location. The outdoor space serves as the go-to gathering spot for residents, hotel guests, and the thousands of office workers along Greensboro Drive.

Stay for Football at Open Road in Tysons

When the sun drops or the games come on, head inside. Open Road Outpost offers approximately 5,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space. Vibrant bar areas and multiple large-format TVs fill the dining room and patio. As a result, the space works perfectly for watching games. You’ll also notice artwork by local artist Jack Labadie on the walls, screens in every sightline, and a kitchen that stays open late.

On College Saturdays, the game-day specials run all day. Pounders (Miller Lite, Corona, Michelob Ultra) cost $6. Buckets (domestic, seltzer, beach) are $6 off. Open Road Distilling Co. spirit pours go for $8. House Wines are $8 as well. Mules and Crushes are $10, and Small Plates and Wings are $2 off. That’s a full football spread at prices that make it easy to settle in.

Open Road has won Best Sports Bar from Northern Virginia Magazine five times — in 2020, 2023, 2024, 2025, and 2026. On top of that, the brand took home the Favorite Gathering Place of the Year RAMMY Award in 2019. Now, the Outpost brings that same energy to Tysons.

NFL Sundays at the Outpost

Sundays follow a similar rhythm. Start the morning at CIRCA for brunch with the same Weekend Social Hours specials. Then walk next door to Open Road for the NFL games. Similarly, the same football drink and food specials run on Sundays. With screens covering every angle, there’s not a bad seat in the house.

Worth noting: the biergarten closes on Sundays. However, that honestly suits a full afternoon of football just fine. It’s an indoor day with great food and cold drinks.

Not Just Weekends — Weekday Dining at The Boro Restaurants in Tysons

Tysons ranks as the 12th-largest employment center in the United States. It’s also the largest in Virginia, with over 105,000 people working here on any given weekday. If you work in the office towers along Greensboro Drive or Westpark Drive, CIRCA and Open Road Outpost serve as your lunch, happy hour, and after-work spots. Best of all, you don’t need to get in a car.

CIRCA runs happy hour Monday through Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. in the bar area. Draft Beers are $5. House Wines cost $8. House Cocktails and Open Road Distilling Co. Spirits are also $8. In addition, Small Plates and Flatbreads are $2 off. It’s a polished, comfortable space for a client meeting, a team outing, or a glass of wine before heading to the Metro.

Open Road Outpost runs the Happiest Hours Special, Tuesday through Friday from 3 to 6 p.m. in designated bar areas. The pricing changes by the hour. At 3 p.m., Pints are $3 and cocktails are $4 off. By 4 p.m., Pints move to $4 and cocktails are $3 off. Then at 5 p.m., Pints are $5 and cocktails are $2 off. House wines by the glass stay at $7 throughout. Open Road Distilling Co. spirits are $8, and all small plates are $2 off the entire time.
